BUTUAN CITY – Successive earthquakes shook Davao provinces Wednesday morning.
However, the regional office of the Southern Mindanao Office of Civil Defense reported no damage or injury.
The strongest that struck Davao region was a 4.3 magnitude earthquake.
In its bulletin, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the 4.3 magnitude earthquake was registered at 11:01 a.m.
The epicenter was plotted 150 kilometers (km) southeast of Governor Generoso town, Davao Oriental province. The earthquake had a depth of 150 km, it said.
The earthquakes that struck Davao provinces were tectonic in origin and the state agency did not raise any tsunami or aftershock alert.
