34 illegal drug suspects arrested in simultaneous QC buy-bust ops

A total of 34 illegal drug suspects were nabbed during simultaneous buy-bust operations in Quezon City in the past 24 hours.

In the latest anti-illegal drug operation, operatives of Quezon City Police District-Fairview Police Station (PS-5) Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Antonio Cabison, 32, during a buy-bust along Rand Street, Phase 8 in Barangay North Fairview at around 2:45 a.m., Tuesday.


During the operation, Cabison’s other companions identified as Johnny Aplaon, 44; Erlan Datahan, 57; Ronald Galleon, 41; Rosal Victorio, 39; Isabel Agucay; and Noel Hermogenes, 48, were also arrested for having a shabu-sniffing session.

Seized from the suspects were three sachets of shabu, a foil tooter, glass bulb, and an empty sachet all with traces of shabu, some disposable lighters, and the marked money.

Same operatives also arrested in a separate drug sting Elbert Montes, 39; Gerry Pereydo, 45; and Dave Salazar, 31 at about 1:45 a.m. along Ascension Avenue in Barangay Greater Fairview wherein four sachets of shabu were recovered.

Personnel of QCPD-Talipapa Police Station (PS-3) arrested in a buy-bust Jet Sarda, 23, of Loans Street in Barangay Sangandaan at around 2 a.m.

PS-3 operatives also collared during the operation Arnold Pascual, 37; Marvic Madrano, 53; Emerson Lopez, 18; Wilfredo Gener, 36; Rodrigo Villasay, 33; Moises Bate, 40; Rona Hazel Escano, 33; Liza Ann Perez, 43; and Lilibeth Santos, 52 after they were caught in the act sniffing shabu along Mendez Street.

Police were able to seize seven sachets of shabu, four aluminum foil strips with traces of shabu, and lighters from the group.

During a simultaneous anti-criminality and law enforcement operation, same personnel collared Asgarry Paudac, 24, along Area A in Barangay Pasong Tamo for illegal numbers game.

Policemen seized two sachets of shabu from him when he was frisked.

Also, PS-3 cops arrested Avelino Aranzado, 23, of Pantranco Right Side in Barangay Pasong Tamo, at about 3 p.m., Monday.

While policemen were conducting bio-profiling of drug surrenderers, they noticed Aranzado acting uneasy and ran upon seeing the policemen.

He was pursued and when frisked, he was caught with six sachets of shabu in his possession.

Anti-narcotic operatives of QCPD-Masambong Police Station (PS-2) caught eight sachets of shabu from Marvin Belogot, 34, near his house on San Antonio Street in Barangay San Antonio.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, Novaliches, patrolling cops of QCPD-Novaliches Police Station (PS-4) arrested Jessle Zozobrado, 28, after he was caught urinating along P. Dela Cruz Street, Sitio Gitna.

However, when he was frisked by the policemen, he yielded a sachet of shabu resulting in his arrest.

Live-in partners Roderick Lagahit, 39, and Ana David, 41, were arrested by members of Cubao Police Station (PS-7) during a buy-bust on New York Street near corner Cambridge Street, in Brgy. E. Rodriguez, Cubao at around12:45 a.m., Tuesday wherein 10 sachets of shabu were seized from them.

Anti-narcotics personnel of QCPD-Batasan Police Station (PS-6) arrested Melvin Guero, 45 along Rosal Extension, Area A, in Barangay Payatas initially for possession of a bladed weapon, but cops seized two sachets of shabu in his possession when frisked.

Also in Barangay Payatas, same operatives accosted Darwin Madlalang, 23, after he was seen toying with a knife at the corner of Ipil-Ipil Street and Lansones Street, but two sachets were recovered by the police from him.

Meanwhile, a 17-year-old female along with brothers Dicker and Jayson Breva, and Perfecto Solbita, 35, were nabbed also by PS-6 operatives in a buy-bust inside their house on Don Carlos Street in Barangay Holy Spirit around 5:30 p.m., Monday.

Recovered from them were five sachets of shabu, aluminum foil strip with traces of shabu, glass tooter, disposable lighters, and the marked money.

La Loma Police Station (PS-1) operatives arrested two women identified as Marilou Vergara, 35, and Angela Roperos, 31, after they were caught in the act of having a drug transaction along Don Pepe Street in Barangay Sto. Domingo, around 11 p.m., Monday.

Confiscated from the duo were four sachets of shabu.

Arrested drug suspects are now under police custody and were charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, the female minor was turned over to Quezon City Social Services Development Department for proper intervention
