3 drug suspects killed in Cavite shootouts

CAMP GEN. PANTALEON GARCIA, IMUS, Cavite -- Three suspected drug pushers were killed on Thursday in shootouts with police in Imus and Dasmarinas Districts, this province.

The three fatalities brought to 12 the drug encounter deaths in Cavite province’s seven districts just this month, Cavite Police Provincial Office (PPO) reports showed.

The two still unidentified suspects died after they traded shots with a police team on Pedro Reyes Street in Barangay Malagasang I-B, Imus, at 3 p.m. Thursday.

The suspects fired their guns when they sensed that they have dealt with undercover officers. The gunfire forced the team to shoot back.

The suspects were declared dead on arrival at the nearest hospital, the Imus police reported.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered the suspects'. 38 cal. revolvers with live bullets and shells in the barrels, three small sachets containing suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride), the P3,000 buy-bust money and at the scene a red Honda Wave motorcycle with plate No. 1443DA.

Another report showed that one Nestor Samson died on the spot in an encounter with police at Blessed Ville Subdivision in Barangay Sampaloc II, Dasmarinas.

A police report said that Samson fired his gun when he resisted a team during a drug search in his house.

Recovered at the scene were Samson’s .45 ca;. pistol with a magazine loaded with three bullets and six small sachets with suspected “shabu.”

Police was able to secure a search warrant from a court prior to the operation.
