From the time Nora Aunor started in showbiz as a singer, she has always championed the masses. And when she stepped into the limelight as an actress, she became even more inspirational and even aspirational.
She is again working hard on the primetime drama series “Onanay.”
“Dito muna ako mag-concentrate sa opportunity na ibinigay sa akin ng GMA-7 for which I’m very grateful,” said Nora.
Described by the Kapuso Network as a heart-warming story of love and acceptance between a mother who suffers from Achondroplasia, and her two daughters who grew up physically normal despite the mother’s condition.
“Dapat ang anak, minamahal talaga ang nanay niya, at dapat ipagtanggol siya ng nanay niya.
Kung wala yung nanay, wala naman yung anak di ba,” explained Nora.
“Onanay” is directed by awarded actress Gina Alajar. This is the first time she’s working with her as her director.
Nora Aunor will be joined by Mikee Quintos, Kate Valdez and Ms. Cherie Gil, Gardo Versoza, Wendell Ramos, Rochelle Pangilinan, Vaness del Moral, Enrico Cuenca and special guest Adrian Alandy. The series also introduces newest Kapuso, Jo Berry who auditioned for the role of Onay.
