The FDA said that the products: GNC Mega Acidophilus, Airborne Original Immune Support Supplement, Slice of Life Organics Energy+ B12 Adult Gummy Vitamins, and Smarty Pants Kid Complete Multivatamin Omega 3 Fish Oil, Vitamin D3 and B12, have not gone through the registration process.

The agency said that it cannot guarantee the quality and safety of the products since it did not undergo the evaluation and testing process.

“The consumption of such violative products may pose potential health hazard to the consuming public,” the agency said in its advisory no. 2018-229.

“All concerned establishments are warned not to distribute the above-identified violative food products until they have already been covered by appropriate authorization, otherwise, regulatory actions and sanctions shall be strictly pursued,” it added.

The public, meanwhile, is advised to always check if a product is registered with FDA before purchasing.
