Digong visited soldiers and CAFGUs at hospital in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – President Rodrigo Duterte visited Saturday night the wounded soldiers and members of the Armed Forces Geographical Unit (CAFGU) including civilians in the recent car bomb explosion in Lamitan City.

Duterte during his visit at the Camp Navarro General hospital inside the Armed Forces of the Philippines - Western Mindanao Command (AFP-WesMinCom) also awarded the wounded CAFGUs and soldiers the order of Lapu-Lapu award, gave them financial assistance, a cell phone, and a watch.

Among those wounded soldiers and CAFGUs and still confined at the military hospital here were 1lt Rojean Rodriquez; Sgt Renante Escanian; Sgt Mike Elumba; Cpl Romeo Tabon Jr.; Pfc Jeffrey Martecio; Pfc Rody Frias; CAFGU Wilbert Garcia; CAFGU Gerry Inso; CAFGU Gregorio Inso and civilian Angelina Inso, wife of Gerry Inso.

Those killed in action, their respective relatives received the financial assistance from Mr. Duterte.

They were identified as Cpl Samad Jumah; CAFGU Adzian Abdulla; CAFGU Muid Manda; CAFGU Omar Teteng; CAFGU Hermilito Gapo Jr.; Hadja Radia Manda (civilian killed); CAFGU Omar Teteng; CAFGU Gregorio; CAFGU Omar Teteng.

Suspected members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) exploded on Tuesday morning a car bomb in front of a joint military and CAFGU checkpoint in the village of Colonia, Lamitan city killing at least 10 people and wounding seven others.
