Malasiqui, Pangasinan— A former barangay kagawad was shot dead while in front of Sinaiyah Eye Center at Brgy Gomez Malasiqui, Pangasinan Friday afternoon.
Supt. Franklin Ortiz, chief of police of Malasiqui identified the victim as Marlon Serrano, 38 years old, single, marketing staff at Sinaiyah Eye Center and a resident of PNR, San Carlos City who was brought to Malasiqui Municipal Hospital for medical treatment but pronounced Dead On Arrival by the attending physician Dr. Mark Bersamera.
He was shot several times and sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body and was brought to Malasiqui Municipal Hospital for medical treatment but pronounced DOA by the attending physician Dr. Mark Bersamera.
Probers said on August 2, 2018 at about 5:15 PM, when a shooting incident transpired in Brgy Gomez, Malasiqui involving Marlon Serrano.
Victim together with his co-workers Rosely I. Alimagno and Jamsel Q. Salangad had just come out from Sinaiyah Eye Center and while they were in front of the said establishment when the victim was shot.
An alleged report said that victim was included in drugs watch list.
Some residents said the killing could be drug-related.
Personnel of Malasiqui police are still conducting hot pursuit/dragnet operation against the possible escape routes of the fleeing suspects.
