An estimated P7.5 million worth of shabu and party drugs were seized from three drug suspects during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Quezon City Wednesday night.
Anti-narcotics operatives from the Northern Police District (NPD) arrested Hazel Grace Lanugan, 21, Rafael Tadoran, 21, and Warren Calicdan, 34, all residents of Quezon City.
The suspects admitted supplying illegal drugs in the Timog area in Quezon City teeming with bars are located, said NPD director Chief Supt. Gregorio Lim.
The buy-bust operation was conducted inside a house along Tomas Morato Street in Barangay Obrero at around 9:30 p.m.
Lim said the operation was hatched after a team led by Sr. Inspector Cecilio Tomas received information about the illegal drug trade in the area.
Confiscated from the arrested suspects during the operation were 100 grams of shabu, and the party drug ecstacy in pill and liquid forms.
During interrogation, suspects told police that the illegal drugs were sourced overseas.
Appropriate charges will be filed against the suspects before the Quezon City Prosecutors Office while the recovered pieces of evidence were brought to the NPD headquarters for proper disposition.
