Kevin Riano, 20, of Barangay Queens Row East, Bacoor, Cavite, surrendered to the Drug Enforcement Group (PNP-DEG) office on Tuesday night.

He was then transferred to the custody of the Bacoor City Police.

According to police, it was the family of Riano who convinced him to surrender after he went home last Monday.

After the jailbreak last Friday, July 27, Riano told police he roamed and slept on Bacoor streets for two days since he had nowhere to go.

When he went home, Riano's siblings urged him to surrender and stop running from the law.

The fugitive's brother, whose identity was not revealed, was the one who coordinated to a personnel of the PNP-DEG, police said.

Riano was first arrested on June 7, 2018, due to illegal discharge of firearm case.

He claimed he had no intention to escape but was carried away when the others started running.

With Riano's surrender, police have already recaptured 16 inmates while seven remained on the loose.
