Condo house helper nabbed with 74 sachets of shabu, gun, 2 grenades

An on-call house helper in condominium units in cities of Pasig and Taguig was nabbed with 74 plastic sachets containing shabu, a gun, and two explosives Friday night.

Senior Supt. Joel Bernabe Balba, Eastern Police District (EPD) director, identified the suspect as Ana Lisa Paya, 53, of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig. She is on the drug watch-list of Pasig.

Armed with a search warrant issued by Hon. Danilo Cruz, Executive Judge of Pasig Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 152, police went to the house of Paya.

Investigation showed that around 10 p.m., operatives searched the house of Paya located at Block 5 Lot 11, Quirino St , Centenial II, Nagpayong in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig.

The husband of the suspect was present during the raid, Balba said.

After searching her house, cops found 74 sachets containing shabu, a caliber .45 pistol loaded with seven ammunitions, and two pieces of live 40MM grenade.

“She was working as an on-call household helper in condos located in Pasig, BGC, Taguig. We are still interrogating the suspect to know her sources, and who was she supplying,” the EPD director said.

Meanwhile, she refused to comment following her apprehension.

Paya is currently held at EPD headquarters’ detention cell.
