Combined troops of the Army’s 37th Infantry Battalion, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (CIDG-ARMM) and Regional Mobile Force Company (RMFC) of the Philippine National Police apprehended a suspected drug personality during the conduct of law enforcement support operation in Parang, Maguindanao on Tuesday.
The operation was launched at So. Basurahan, Brgy. GT Biruar, Parang, Maguindanao, after concerned residents reported the presence of a certain Udtog K. Esmail, a drug personality that resulted to his arrest.
Also allegedly recovered from his position were a caliber 30, an M16 rifle, a rifle grenade, a handcuff, and a Motorola radio.
The suspect and the confiscated firearms were brought at CIDG-ARMM headquarters for proper custody and disposition.
“The recent gains achieved by the AFP and other law enforcement authorities are attributed to the support and cooperation of all stakeholders,” Army 6th Infantry Division Commander Brigadier General Cirilito E. Sobejana, said.
“We are very grateful for the trust and confidence of the people of Central Mindanao on our sincerity of curtailing the menace of drugs in this region and putting an end to all forms of lawlessness and criminalities,” he added.
