Three men including a retired Marines member suspected of gunrunning, and two alleged drug peddlers, were gunned down after they reportedly ensued gunfight with policemen in separate areas in Makati City Tuesday night.

Senior Supt. Rogelio Simon, Makati police chief, said Alexander Millado, 45, was shot dead by his men after he fired at them.

“We received a tip about his gunrunning activity. So, we did a test buy. And it was positive. We were able to buy a gun from him,” Simon said.

“This is why a court in Makati issued a search warrant,” he added

A Makati police team was about to serve a search warrant at the house of Millado, a retired member of the Marines, on Mangga St. in Barangay Cembo, Makati at 11:30 p.m.

But cops, not even near to his doorsteps, was reportedly shot by the former member of the Marines, but missed. Such triggered cops to retaliate, killing Millado on the spot.

Seized inside the house of Millado were a plastic sachet containing shabu, and two guns namely cal .357 without serial number loaded with six ammunitions; and al .38 without serial number loaded with three ammunitions.

In Barangay Guadalupe Viejo, police conducted a follow-up operation to three alleged drug suppliers pinpointed by a nabbed drug suspect.

At 11:40 p.m., the Makati police chief said his men went to Laperal Compound, Guadalupe Viejo, Makati to look for the three men ratted out by their nabbed drug suspect.

“We conducted the operation after a drug suspect we caught told us that they are his suppliers of illegal drugs,” the Makati police chief said.

The three men, upon seeing the cops, ran away as they fire at them. One of them was able to escape.

The two others were cornered by policemen. They exchange fire for minutes.

Policemen were able to shoot and kill them before one of them was able to lodge a grenade.

“One of the alleged drug suppliers even tried to lodge a grenade at my men. Good thing is that he was unable to throw it at them because he got shot,” Simon told the Manila Bulletin.

Yield from them were one .9mm caliber pistol, one fragmentation hand grenade (M26), .22 magnum without serial number, 11 plastic sachets containing shabu, marijuana leaves weighing 15.33 grams, and various drug paraphernalia.

Police have yet to identify the two killed alleged drug suppliers.
