Laguna’s no. 19 HVT killed in shootout

CALAMBA CITY, Laguna - Police relentless campaign on anti-illegal drug killing another high-value target province wide in a shootout on Monday evening at Barangay Palo Alto, this city.

Senior Supt. Kirby John B. Kraft, director of Laguna Police Provincial Office, identified the suspect as Armando Moron, alias Mando, married, and a resident of Parian, here. He was the number 19 listed high-value target (HVT) in Laguna and no. 7 most wanted person (MWP) in Manhunt Charlie of the city police.

Kraft said Calamba City police and the Provincial Intelligence Branch strike the lair of the suspect to serve the arrest warrant for three counts of violation of section 5 Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165) issued by judge Maria Florencia F. Baculo of Regional Trial Court branch 34, Calamba City.

While police operatives introduced themselves and informed the accused regarding the arrest warrant to be serve against the suspect and showing the copy, however, instead of surrendering he opened fire at the lawmen, and prompting them to return fire, resulting in a running gunfight and killing him.
