GENERAL SANTOS CITY – A local drug network in Tampakan, South Cotabato that was being operated by a man and his two sons, was broken up by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Friday.
PDEA-12 spokesperson Kath Abad said Jaime Malinao Sr., and his two sons, Jaime Jr. and James, were nabbed in a drug raid in Barangay Maltana in Tampakan town.
The Malinaos yielded about 20 grams of shabu with a street value of P136,000, according to Abad.
Abad said the suspects were listed as high-value targets who used their family-owned furniture shop business as a front for their illicit drug transactions.
The drug network of the suspects was traced after several drug suspects earlier arrested by PDEA in the area pointed to the elder Malinao as the source of the illegal drugs.
The suspects are facing charges for selling illegal drugs.
