Prelates on BI order Fox

The head of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP)-Episcopal Commission on Mission said Friday the deportation order against Australian missionary nun, Patricia Fox, is a confirmation that the government is harassing those critical of them.

“This confirms our suspicion that this government is systematically harassing people who criticize their policies,” Bishop Arturo Bastes, ECM chairman, said.

Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo was saddened by the order saying its a sign of a “creeping authoritarianism.”
