Pope Francis has called on Filipinos to go out into the world and proclaim the Good News.
In his message to participants of the 5th Philippine Conference on New Evangelization (PCNE) in Manila, the Pontiff urged the Filipino faithful to be missionary disciples not only within the country but also in Asia and the rest of the world.
“As you gather to prayer fully reflect on the meaning of the Church as communion and explore the
necessity of communion-in-mission, he prays that the participants will be challenged to a missionary discipleship and transformation setting their vision not only within the Philippine archipelago but also to the vast continent of Asia and even beyond,” said Papal Nuncio Archbishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia, who read Pope Francis’ message.
“For it is vitally important for the Church today to go forthand preach the Gospel to all: To all places, on all occasions, without hesitation, reluctance or fear. The Joy of the Gospel is for all people: No one can be excluded,” the Pontiff added in his message that was read by Archbishiop Caccia.
“May everyone find inspiration in the Lord Jesus who manifested the face of the God of mercy in His command thatthe disciples feed the multitude. With these sentiments, His Holiness entrusts all of you to the intercession of Mary, Mother of the Church, and he willingly imparts his Apostolic Blessing as a pledge of peace and strength in our Lord,” the Papal Nuncio said.
