20 families rendered homeless in Pasay fire

Atleast 20 families were rendered homeless in a two-hour blaze Thursday morning in Barangay 127, Pasay City.

Ten houses were instantaneously turned to ash according to the Pasay City Bureau of Fire Protection.

The fire started at around 4:18 in the morning at the fourth floor of the house owned by a certain Oscar Dongol at M. Dela Cruz near Arnaiz Avenue Barangay 127.

The fire quickly spread to nearby houses made of highly combustible materials.

Despite the continuous downpour, according to Pasay City Fire Marshall Supt. Douglas Guiyab it was still difficult to extinguish the fire since it came from inside the house.

Twenty families were affected by the fire which reached the third alarm and was declared fire out at around 6:01 in the morning.

The fire bureau said that there were no reported casualties and that they are still investigating the cause of the blaze and the estimated amount of damages.
