Malaysia-based mobile device protection provider AmTrust Mobile Solutions is optimistic in expanding their operations in the Philippines as they seek to establish partnerships with retailers, telcos, smartphone manufacturers and consumer financing companies.

Among its wide array of business-to-customer and business-to-business solutions include providing protection against accidental damage, liquid damage and theft for consumer electronic gadgets as well as home appliances.

“AmTrust Mobile Solutions is a provider of protection products focusing on electronic gadgets like smartphones and tablets. We understand how important devices are to our daily lives. People need to stay connected all the time. When devices get damaged or stolen, our lives get interrupted, we lose touch, we lose precious time. Our mission is to ensure that Filipinos enjoy an uninterrupted digital lifestyle by providing them fast and easy solutions through protection plans that cover their devices. If and when something bad happens to their phones, AmTrust Mobile Solutions is here to get their devices repaired or replaced fast,” said Adam Bernasek, Regional Sales and Business Development Director for AmTrust Mobile Solutions.

“There are millions of smartphones sold every year in the Philippines. We recognize the need to have protection for these phones and the need for everyone to have peace of mind against what can potentially happen to their devices,” he added.

In an interview with the Manila Bulletin Tech News, Adam Bernasek said that they are eyeing to cover half a million clients in the Philippines by the end of the year, which they aim to achieve by creating more partnerships.

“We are preparing to start cooperation with retailers nationwide. We are already working with MemoXpress and Robinsons. We will continue to expand our reach through more retailers and ensure that Filipinos across the country can have access to the protection plans that they need for their devices,” he added.

Bernasek mentioned that they are also working with smartphone manufacturers to make protection plans a standard when people purchase their products. “We’re aiming to make this standardized for customers. Meaning if a customer buys a cellular phone, it will come bundled with a protection plan,” he furthered.

He said that they are targeting four out of 10 smartphones sold in the Philippines to be armed with their phone protection. AmTrust Mobile Solutions is set to expand its nationwide reach this year as it continues to collaborate with more partners who see the value of protection plans for their customers.
