The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has lifted its health advisory against a food product that was previously found unregistered with the agency.
“This is to inform the public that the Advisory of the product Lipa Young Coconut Water With Coconut Bits described as ‘Lipa Fresh Buko Juice Young Coconut Juice’ under FDA Advisory No. 2016-071 dated 28 June 2016 is hereby lifted pursuant to company’s compliance with rules and regulations of this Office,” stated FDA Advisory No. 2018-042.
The FDA said that the product is already registered under Food Registration (FR) No. 142133, with Certificate of Product Registration validity until Nov. 16, 2021.
Meanwhile, the agency reminded the public to be vigilant against food products that might not be duly-registered with FDA.
The agency encourages the public to always check if the food product is registered by using the embedded Search feature of the FDA website accessible at ww2.fda.gov.ph.
