CAMP COLONEL RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The regional command of Northeastern Mindanao Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) on Saturday ordered police officers to investigate the killing of a victim whose some body parts were found by villagers at the riverside of Purok 7, Barangay Noli, in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur province.
The regional command of PRO 13ordered the commanders of Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO), Bayugan City Police Station (BCPS) and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) to look for the other parts of the body of the still unidentified person.
At 5 p.m. on Thursday, villagers smelled a foul odor along the riverside in Purok 7, Barangay Noli, Bayugan City.
Responding police force, along with some of the villagers discovered plastic cellophanes containing human hands and feet.
Personnel of Police Provincial Crime Laboratory led by Chief Inspector Bryan Cres Campos conducted crime scene investigation and the parts of human body were then brought to a local funeral parlor in that same city.
Elements of BCPS are still looking for the other parts of the body and identity of the victim, the PRO 13 Regional Public Information Office (RPIO) based here said.
