18,000 pupils get free bags, school supplies in Quezon

TIAONG, Quezon — Almost 18,000 daycare and elementary pupils in public elementary schools in the towns of San Antonio and Tiaong received school supplies from House Minority Floor Leader Danilo E. Suarez on Thursday.

In San Antonio, some 5,000 pupils from the 12 public schools were given bagpacks and school supplies along with a computer set for the San Antonio Central School.

At the Claro M. Recto Memorial Central Elementary School in Barangay Poblacion in Tiaong, Suarez was accompanied by his wife, former Rep. Aleta Suarez, in distributing the same to 13,000 pupils.

Tiaong Mayor Ramon Preza, in his speech, said that for the kids and faculty, “it felt like Christmas.”
