Pedro Lumantas alias Dadoy/Andoy/Didoy was captured by the operatives of the Army's 47th Infantry (Katapatan) Battalion and Bohol-PNP by virtue of arrest warrant for multiple murder charges while getting medical treatment for gunshot wound at Ramiro Hospital in Tagbilaran City on June 16, 2018.

The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Suceso A. Arcamo of Regional Trial Court (RTC) 47, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

Lumantas is designated as Deputy Secretary of Bohol Party Committee, Komiteng Rehiyon Southern Bohol of the said terrorist organization.

The said terrorist leader has been involved in the series of atrocities in Cebu and Bohol including the recent merciless killings of two members of Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (CAFGU) in April and May 2018.

He was turned over to the PNP for proper disposition.

The 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division led by Brig. Gen. Dinoh Dolina, believes that the arrest of Lumantas is a big blow on the extortion and terrorism activities of the CPP-NPA terrorists.

The command attributed this accomplishment to the Boholanos who have been displaying their vigilance especially in giving accurate information on the whereabouts and activities of these terrorists.

The command also reiterated its call to the CPP-NPAs to lay down their arms and abandon the senseless and failed armed struggle and return to the folds of the government.

"Your government is much willing to help and assist you to start a new and peaceful life together with your family," Dolina said.
