Boy injured after he was stabbed by fellow minor in Caloocan

A 14-year-old boy was injured after he was stabbed by another minor in Caloocan City Sunday night.

Police said “Romy,” 14, was allegedly stabbed by “Angelo,” 17 (not their real names), both residents of Barangay 153 in Caloocan.

Initial investigation showed that Romy was having a conversation with his friends on Milagrosa Street around 7:30 p.m. when Angelo arrived.

Angelo then mauled and stabbed Romy in the head and body using a broken bottle before he fled, police said.

Romy was brought to Manila Central University Hospital where he is currently recuperating.

Investigators are now looking into gang war as the possible motive behind the incident.

Father jailed on Father’s Day after beating 6-year-old son

A father ended up in jail Father’s Day after allegedly beating his six-year-old son inside their apartment in Venezuela City.

Police identified the father as Michael Fabul, 35, jobless, of Barangay Ugong.

Initial investigation showed that Fabul was angry when he arrived home around 8 a.m. He then beat their 6-year-old son for no reason.

Windlyn, Fabul’s wife, pacified her husband and instructed their son to run away.

Windlyn together with her son sought assistance from the police which led to the arrest of the suspect.

A case of physical injuries in relation to child abuse will be filed against Fabul who is now detained at the Valenzuela City police detention cell. (Kate Javier)

Three men including drug pusher in two separate armed encounters with cops

Three men were killed including an alleged drug pusher in two separate armed encounters with police in Muntinlupa City early yesterday morning.

First to fall was suspect only identified as alias “Burdado,” who was between 28 and 30 years old who was clad in a black jacket. The suspect’s unidentified cohort however escaped on board a motorcycle.

Initial investigation revealed that the incident occurred at around 2:20 in the morning at Mandarin Street, Pleasant Ville, Barangay Bayanan, Muntinlupa City.

The suspect and his cohort sold P500 worth of shabu to a police poseur buyer. Sensing that they were transacting with anti-narcotics operatives, the suspect Burdado pulled out his caliber .38 revolver and fired thrice at the lawmen.

The police officer fired back, hitting the suspect who died on the spot. The unidentified cohort immediately escaped on board a motorcycle.

At 2:45 a.m. along Ylaya Carzo St. in Barangay Alabang, Muntinlupa City, two unidentified men on board a motorcycle was killed in a shootout with policemen. One of their cohorts was able to escape.

Initial investigation revealed that authorities were conducting an “Oplan Sita” along National Road, Barangay Bayanan in the city. The three who were on board the motorcycle evaded the checkpoint while one of them fired successive gunshots at the police officers.

A dragnet operation was immediately put in place. Personnel from the Tactical Motorcycle Riders Units (TMRU) who were patrolling the area monitored the direction of the fleeing suspects.

Two of them were later sighted running toward the interior of Ylaya Carzo Street where a shootout between them and the police ensued resulting in their deaths. Authorities are still conducting pursuit operations to against the other suspect.

Police recovered from their possession a caliber .9mm pistol and a home-made shotgun. Investigators are still in the process of knowing the background of the two suspects and their possible involvement in crimes in the city. (Dhel Nazario)
