“We are truly inspired by the values of freedom celebrated today,” said Puyat in a text message sent to Manila Bulletin.

The Philippines is set to celebrate its 120th Independence Day on Tuesday, June 12.

“These are the very same values we embrace as we promote liberty in travel and discovery of the beauty of our destinations and communities,” Puyat said.

“The Philippine tourism industry is one with the nation in commemorating the 120th anniversary of our country’s independence,” she added.
