President Duterte’s most trusted right-hand man reiterated that he has no intention to run for a Senate seat in the 2019 mid-term polls.

Special Assistant to the President Christopher Go made the statement even after TV personality Kris Aquino said she will support him if he decides to run for Senate.

Go, in a Facebook post, said that people do not have to worry as he will remain loyal to the President and will not eye a Senate seat.

“Ginagawa ko lang ang trabaho ko. Kapag inutos ng Pangulo, I will deliver. Wag po kayong mag-alala, wala akong pangarap mag senador (I am just doing my job. If the President has an order, I will deliver. Don’t worry, I am not dreaming to be a senator),” Go said.

“My loyalty is with the President and the Filipino Nation… Kayo, kanino ang loyalty ninyo (How about you)?” he added.

A lot of his supporters are urging Go to run for Senator next year, even starting a campaign dubbed “Ready, Set, Go!” to try to convince the Palace official to run.

Duterte last week teased his most trusted aide anew, saying Go asked him to endorse him in a public event.

Go earlier denied that he is running for Senator but said he will wait for the advise of the President. Duterte said he is leaving the decision to Go.

Go also shared that Kris Aquino expressed to support him if he decides to run for Senate. Go thanked Aquino but said that he has no plans to be a senator.

Aquino, in a text message to Go, said that she believes that Go is a good person but is wondering why he would want to leave the side of the President.

“I will even campaign for you because I believe in you, but why leave the President? Why leave Malacañang. Baka ahas lang ang gustong kunin ang posisyon mo (Perhaps it’s a snake who wants to take over your position),” Aquino’s text message to Go read. (Argyll Cyrus B. Geducos)
