Napolcom Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Atty. Rogelio Casurao said of these number, 34,145 are regular promotions while 3,622 are special or meritorious promotions for the ranks of Police Officer II to Police Senior Superintendent.

The promotion is based on Napolcom en banc approved Resolution No. 2018-255 which authorizes PNP Director General Oscar Albayalde to fill up the promotional vacancies in the second level ranks.

The PNP promotion program is aimed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the police force.

“The Commission enjoins the PNP to formulate the necessary promotion program to implement the aforesaid promotional quota and to strictly follow the existing policies and guidelines on promotion under Napolcom Resolution No. 2013-501,” he added.
