239 new policemen undergo counter-insurgency training

CAMP RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The regional command of Northeastern Mindanao Police Regional Office (PRO) 13 formally opened on Tuesday the Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) for 239 new policemen in Caraga region.

Chief Supt. Noli A. Romana, regional director of PRO13, led the opening of the course at the PRO13 Grounds, along with the command group.

The batch of trainees consisted of 48 females and 191 males with the rank of Police Officer 1 (PO1).

The course, which runs for 60 training days, is the revision of the 45-day Special Counter-Insurgency Operations Unit Training (SCOUT).

It is designed to equip the trainees with knowledge, attitude, skills, and values in the conduct of internal security operations.

Chief Supt. Romana, in his message, cited the epitome of police service and the essence of enduring hard training.

After their presentation on Tuesday, the trainees were immediately transported to the Regional Special Training Unit in Santiago town, Agusan del Norte, to start their SCOUT.
