Seven road sections in major thoroughfares in Manila and Quezon City will undergo road repair over the weekend, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced Friday.

Road repair and reblocking on seven road sections this weekend starts Friday night until Monday morning, DPWH-National Capital Region Regional Director Melvin Navarro said.

The affected road sections include three sections of EDSA – southbound, from Samson College to P. Tuazon Street, and from Eugenio Lopez Street to after Scout Borromeo,  and at the northbound direction from fronting Vertis North to Trinoma Mall.

Road works are also set along the northbound direction of España Boulevard going to Quiapo, in front of Ramon Magsaysay High School; Quirino Highway near Mater Carmeli School, A. Bonifacio Avenue, Mauban Street, and Congressional Avenue, from fronting Business Bank to Mindanao Avenue.

Navarro said the DPWH will use one-day concrete mix so that the affected areas will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday.
