The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), in an advisory today, announced that the road portions will be closed starting tonight until Monday morning.

Three sections of EDSA will undergo reblocking and repair specifically the southbound direction from Arayat Street to P. Tuazon Street, second lane from the sidewalk and from Eugenio Lopez Street to after Scout Borromeo, innermost lane; and at the northbound direction fronting Vertis North to Trinoma Mall, second lane.

Other roads scheduled for repair are the following: España Boulevard, northbound, going to Quiapo, from fronting M. Dela Fuente near Ramon Magsaysay High School; Quirino Highway, northbound, from Lagro to near Mater Carmeli, outerlane; Congressional Avenue, northbound, from Cagayan Street to Culiat Bridge, third lane; A. Bonifacio Avenue, northbound, from Tagaytay Street going to Mayon, inner lane; and Visayas Avenue, southbound, in front of PTV4 headquarters, inner lane.

The agency announced the affected road after getting a clearance from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to conduct the road works.

DPWH-NCR Regional Director Melvin Navarro said one day-curing concrete mix will be used for the repair works in time for the 5 a.m. reopening of the roads.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
