The term means “gentleman,” and when they are among the top lawyers in the country, you wonder: What could Presidential Legal Adviser Sal Panelo, Corporate Lawyer Mike Toledo and former Senator Joey Lina possibly be up to?
Well, on Independence Day, June 12, 7 p.m. at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel, the three
gentlemen, under the group name Ginoo, will trade their corporate demeanor for snappy musical personas in “Bagyo Ng Musika.” The concert was conceived with the primary aim of giving aid to the feeding programs of the underprivileged led by Kusina ng Kalinga by Gawad Kalinga.
“Bagyo ng Musika” is a way for Ginoo to channel some of their resources, not to mention their resonant bari-tenor voices, to helping the young ones.
Now, performing gratis et amore is one thing, and encouraging people to purchase dinner/show tickets or tables is another. The goal is to provide more than 2,000 daily meals to children of war-torn Marawi at the Grades 1 and 2 levels, enough to cover a whole school year.
The guest performer at the fundraising dinner concert is Ms. Jenine Desiderio. Show director is Freddie Santosm while the project manager is Salute Promotions headed by Beth Tagle.
Reservations for “Bagyo Ng Musika” can be made starting Monday, May 7, at the Manila Hotel, phone number 527-00- 11, local 1271-1277.
