CAMP COLONEL RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The regional command of Northeastern Mindanao Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) on Tuesday (May 1) started the recruitment of 2,500 new members of Special Action Force (SAF).

The first day of the recruitment of new SAF members coincided with the livelihood, business and job fair of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), in relation to the 116th Labor Day celebration held at one of city’s hotel and convention centers here.
PRO 13 Regional Director Chief Supt. Noli A. Romana said PRO13 is concentrating on the information dissemination on the recruitment for the elite unit of the PNP, instead of the regular recruitment as President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the creation of additional five SAF battalions to counter terrorism and battle communist rebels.
“Since the approval of the National Police Commission (Napolcom) for the five battalions or around 2,500 troopers of Special Action Force (SAF), PRO13 is actively supporting our elite force expansion in the region," he said.
Romana encouraged all Caraganons who are interested, qualified, competent and determined to apply even after Labor Day at the Recruitment Offices of PRO13, with hotline numbers 815-1668/09985987259.
