Henry parts ways with SM Entertainment


Henry, member of K-pop boy band Super Junior M, has left SM Entertainment to go solo.

According to Label SJ, which manages Super Junior, Henry’s exclusive contract expired a few days ago and no contract renewal transpired. He will set up a one-person agency and continue his activities.

Henry debuted in April 2008 as member of Super Junior M, a unit of Super Junior, and in 2013, he became a solo singer and appeared on various TV entertainment programs.

He is a regular cast member of the top-rating reality TV show “I Live Alone” for which he won an excellence in variety award at the 2017 MBC Entertainment Awards.

In addition, he has also won awards abroad. He won best new artist from Asia and most popular K-pop music video for “Trap” at the Singapore Entertainment Awards, best male dance artist adn best popular idol at the HK Metro Radio Mandarin Hits Music Awards, and Person of the Year at the Thailand Headlines.
