It was the fifth reported fire that struck Cavite province in one month.

P01 Ricardo D. Mendoza, case investigator, said no casualty was reported in the fire that gutted a styrofoam-selling unit, an eatery and six other stories in the one-story Pulido Building from 6:20 to 7:05 p.m. yesterday.

The fire also burned a gray Mitsubishi Adventure car (UOA 905) that was parked nearby.

Mendoza said the cause of the fire, which reached second alarm, and the damage cost have yet to be determined.

Fire trucks from this coastal town and Supt. Virgilio Villena Rubio, police officer-in-charge; and his patrol team have responded to the scene.

Rosario, also called Salinas, is located in the province’s first district, a populous area. Cavite City and the municipalities of Kawit and Noveleta are also in first district.
