ABUCAY, Bataan — Homicide investigators said they were solving the puzzle in the grisly murders of a couple whose bodies were found at a vacant subdivision lot on Mabatang Highway, here, on Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Marcelo Dayag, police provincial director (PD), said the bodies of Domingo Baluyot, alias “Ding,” and his live-in partner, Rina dela Rosa, were found by a caretaker of St. Leonor Homes.
Dayag confirmed both victims bore bullet a wound each in the head and that a Norinco .45-caliber pistol, two magazines, and 2 bullet casings were found at the scene.
Senior Inspector Jennifer dela Cruz, newly-installed local police chief, said probers could not yet conclude what happened to the victims, pending the results of some crime laboratory tests.
“A paraffin test is now being processed by the SOCO (Secne of the Crime Operatives) to determine if the gun found from the man was the one used in the killing, but we are still conducting an investigation,” said Dayag.
But he said that Rina had filed a case of physical abuse against Domingo in October last year.
