Kaya-Iloilo beat Stallion-Laguna, 4-1, over the weekend in the club's final Philippines Football League home match at the University of Makati Field.

Jordan Mintah scored two goals in the first half while Jovin Bedic and Jalsor Soriano also found the back of the net to give Kaya its second win in five matches while moving to third place with seven points, two off defending champion Ceres-Negros for the lead.

The win gave Kaya a fitting conclusion to a year-long stint in the country’s business capital before officially calling the Western Visayas city its new home. Kaya will make its debut at the Iloilo Sports Complex on May 2 against Global-Cebu.

Meanwhile, Phil Younghusband produced a brace, including the go-ahead goal, to give the Davao Aguilas a 3-2 win over JPV-Marikina at the Rizal Memorial Stadium and climb in second place behind Ceres.

Younghusband broke a 2-all tie shortly before the hour mark to keep the Aguilas unbeaten after four games with eight points.

Davao improved to two victories and two draws while handing JPV its third consecutive loss after starting the season with back-to-back wins.
