Filipino mixed martial artist Kevin Belingon hopes to get another title shot and a rematch with Brazilian champion Bibiano Fernandes by gunning for a fifth straight win against American Andrew Leone Friday in One: Heroes of Honor at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Nicknamed the “Silencer,” the soft-spoken Belingon said he is ready to rumble against Leone in their bantamweight match.

“I just trained hard and enjoy,” said Team Lakay’s Belingon, whose ring record is 17-5. “Iyon ang nagbigay sa akin ng improvement. Kung enjoy ka, hindi ka mahihirapan sa training.”

“I just love to compete (against anybody), be on top,” added Belingon, who lost to Fernandes in January two years ago but has won his last four fights in One Championship.

A win against Leone, a 28-year-old native of New York, according to One Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong, could pave the way for a rematch with Fernandes, who defended his title with a split decision victory over Martin Nguyen last March 24.
