Environmentalists warn: Unusual weather patterns due to ‘global warming’

If you’re complaining about the hot weather here in the Philippines, now that the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has officially declared that summer has started, wait till you hear what kind of weather the Australians in the land Down Under are experiencing as of late.

In a column for Mashable Asia, Johnny Lieu wrote that by this time the summer heat in Australia would have already subsided as the season changes to winter.

However, unexpectedly Australia is now experiencing “unreasonably warm weather” in April.

So much so that the Australia's Bureau of Meteorology has now taken notice of it and has referred to the bizarre weather pattern as an "unusual event".

The summer-like heat that the Australia is now experiencing was described by a special climate statement as “more characteristic of mid-summer than mid-autumn."

On April 9, Australia recorded the hottest day, Lieu reported.

All-around the world we are experiencing bizarre, uncharacteristic and oftentimes consequential changes in the weather patterns that some environmentalists have warned are supposedly the direct result of global warming.

Maybe it’s time we take the cue from Mother Nature and start changing our ways before it’s too late.
