Tacloban City – Senator JV Ejercito assured survivors of Super Typhoon Yolanda that he will call on the National Housing Authority (NHA) and private contractors to act on housing for the survivors that remain unfinished.

Ejercito, who chairs the Senate committee on housing and urban development, talked to Yolanda survivors in two barangays in this city Thursday.

He also assessed the structural stability of the permanent shelters that had been built after receiving complaints that substandard materials were used.

Ejercito said the inferior-quality structures were found in resettlement areas.

He assured homeowners and housing beneficiaries during the consultations that their concerns will be immediately addressed.
