Camp Ola, Albay — New People’s Army (NPA) guerrillas fired at a construction site in Pasacao town, Camarines Sur in a bid to harass the private contractor, but ended up wounding an 18-year-old college coed last Thursday.

The NPA attack at 12:05 p.m. targeted the GCI Construction Company, owned by Engr. Gigie Evasco, but a stray bullet, hit Abegail A. Potenia, single a college student and resident of Pasacao, in the back.

She was taken to a hospital in Naga City for treatment after the three-minute gunbattle.
