Celebrity couple Iya Villania and Drew Arellano surprised us with the announcement of their second pregnancy when they posted their gender reveal (a boy!) video on Instagram last month. With the arrival of another baby boy this year, the doting couple will surely need all the help they can get, including their stroller-of-choice, Babyzen Philippines’s YOYO.  YOYO is an innovative all-in-one-stroller and the very first to be considered as a cabin luggage, making traveling easier and convenient for mommies and babies. We got a chance to sit down with Iya as she shared her pregnancy insights, this second time around.

The pregnancy

According to the TV host, her situation now is relatively easier compared to her first pregnancy where she didn’t have any complications. “It was much easy during my pregnancy with Primo. I didn’t feel any morning sickness. None of that. This time around it was relatively easy, but mas naging mapili ako sa pagkain,” Iya said. “Konting nausea dahil nga hindi ko alam kung anong gusto kong kainin.”

When asked if she has “pinaglilihian”, she cheekily said that she’s craving for instant noodles.

“Pero syempre hindi ko hinahayaan kung sarili ko to always give in to that craving, but minsan hinahanap ko siya,” she added.

Same stroller for the new baby

Iya also said that even though she’s the new ambassador of the brand, she and Drew bought theirs when they went baby shopping in Hong Kong for Primo before. Since it’s still good as new, she will use the same stroller for their new baby.

“That’s the reason why I love Babyzen kasi it’s customisable kahit ginagamit na ni Primo, I can reformat it back into an infant stroller then attach the footboard para dun uupo si Primo. It’s the same frame, yung pagka-assemble ang maiiba lang,” she explained.

Their family time

Because of Drew’s busy schedule and her pregnancy, their family prepared to stay at home spending time together as their form of bonding. Iya said that they love watching Primo doing funny and silly things around.

“Actually, because he’s always out of town, we enjoy being together at home. Also, we love it because it’s where Primo is comfortable and dun lumalabas yung personality niya. He just does all these things tapos nakaabang nalang kami ni Drew kung ano naman kayang kalokohan ang gagawin ng batang ‘to,” she said. “Tapos if ever, will go to the park then will have breakfast or lunch together tapos konting playtime in any play area.”

Tips for getting pregnant

Since a lot of people are asking how she keeps her lean physique even though she’s conceiving a child, the celebrity mom generously shared some tips how to stay fit before, during, and after pregnancy.

Iya said that as a preparation, mothers should get fit for pregnancy. Because if they do so, “they’ll be confident in moving around” and to continue their routines because these are things they used to do before maternity period.

“Kasi kapag buntis ka na, lalo na it’s Filipino way of thinking na kapag buntis hindi dapat gumagalaw, nagpapahinga. Tapos biglang mako-conscious yung nanay na tataba ako. She’ll want to get moving kaso matatakot naman siya kasi hindi naman siya sanay na gumalaw. Get fit for pregnancy. Then I’ll think you’ll find your pregnancy more enjoyable and less nakakapraning,” she ended.
