CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Police arrested a suspected drug pusher in Pasay City in a buy-bust operation in the premier tourist spot of Puerto Galera, this province, last Sunday afternoon.
Senior Superintendent Christopher C. Birung, director of the Police Provincial Office (PPO), identified the suspect as Angelito G. Viray, 24, single, a resident of Barangay191, Electrical Road, Pasay City.
A police team of the Puerto Galera Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by Sr. Inspector Arman G. Rubio and backed by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 4-B (PDEA4-B) agents conducted the drug sting in Barangay Sabang, Puerto Galera, that resulted in Viray’s arrest.
Police recovered from the suspect an elongated pack of dried marijuana leaves weighing approximately four kilos.
He is now facing a charge of violating Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law of 2002.
