Tagbilaran City – David Huang, vice president of the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TCCI) is seeing potential investments in Bohol, where a new airport of international standard is to be open before the yearend.

A statement from the provincial capitol said Bohol Gov. Edgar M. Chatto welcomed Huang Thursday during his first visit here to explore investment opportunities.

Huang manifested to Chatto Taiwan’s increasing interest in Bohol as an investment and tourism destination.

Tourism and agriculture were areas of their key discussions, the statement added.

Taiwan is also eyeing direct flights from its capital, Taipei, to Bohol once the Bohol Panglao Airport becomes operational beginning in August.

Chatto also welcomed to Bohol last week an important visitor, Indonesian Deputy Ambassador to the Philippines Budi Dhewajani.

Acting Vice Governor Venzencio Arcamo, Provincial Board Members Abeleon Damalerio and Ricky Masamayor, Provincial Administrator Alfonso Damalerio II, Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Albert Uy and Bellevue Resort General Manager Romel Gonzales joined them at the reception party.
