2 most wanted persons fall in Agusan

Camp Colonel Rafael C. Rodriguez, Butuan City – Two of the most wanted persons in Carmen, Agusan del Norte have fallen into the hands of authorities, according to the Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) public information office.

According to the report, the intensified “Manhunt Charlie” undertaken by PRO 13 resulted in the arrest of Ernie Balabag and Jaime Amporas last Thursday.

Balabag was listed the No. 1 most wanted person in Carmen, while Amporas was No. 4 most wanted.

“The two suspects were both charged with multiple attempted murder and they were arrested based on the strength of warrants of arrest,” said PRO 13 Regional Director Chief Supt. Noli A. Romana, in a statement sent to the Manila Bulletin on Sunday.

The region’s police chief added that the strengthened operations against wanted persons were in consonance with the implementation of the “Manhunt Charlie.”
