Glass girl

Marian Rivera is the kind of woman who speaks her mind, demonstrates her feelings openly, and won't turn the other cheek if you do her wrong.

Like glass, she gives off what you put in. She's keeping it real, except that she's a star.

This nature of hers has had some people criticizing her and even her loved ones. It's been going on for years that by now, she just yawns at it all most times.

“Alam niyo, since day one transparent akong tao. Kumbaga, what you see is what you get. Ibig sabihin, dapat hindi ako maging masyadong sensitive na tao,” she said in an interview.

When it comes to her bashers, Marian practices the art of "dedma."

Pushed against the wall, though, and she will stand up for herself.

Marian said it’s important to keep close the ones who truly love you. They serve as her anchor, hsr lifeline.

Woman

Marian, who looks up to Lola Francisca as her inspiration, believes the true essence of a woman is that she gives her all in everything she does.

In her case, she is taking the responsibility of being a loving wife and mother.

Pero I believe, kapag mahal mo, ibibigay mo lahat eh at walang masama duon,” she said.

The word “losyang” is definitely not in Marian’s vocabulary. She aims to inspire others, noting looking drab is not inevitable just because you are wife and mother.

But really, what’s her secret to looking fresh and fabulous at 33?

Love, Marian enthused.

“Sobrang in love kasi ako sa lahat, 100 percent, that’s why!” she said, smiling. “Sobrang daming blessings kaya walang dahilan para hind maging masaya.”

Talking about her fitness routine, the actress now does cross fit training. Well not only to be sexy, but to be fit and healthy.

Ngayon na may Zia na ako, I want to be healthy for her.

Marian revealed she is gearing up for a new film and TV series this year. Come Holy Week, the Dantes family will go on an out-of-the-country trip.

Prime mom

We caught up with Marian at the recent press conference of Mega Global Corporations. The actress has been named the ambassador of the product anew, this time representing the entire Mega Prime Canned Vegetables and Fruits line.

Marian also became the first-ever member of Prime Mom Club, an exclusive social community of moms who understand the needs of start-up moms and help them become successful homemakers through relevant and meaningful activities and knowledge-sharing.

A quick peek at her Instagram account shows how hands-on she is in preparing her family’s food.

Marian prepares lots of vegetable dishes. This is because Zia, unlike other kids, eats lots of vegetables. Her favorites? Broccoli and spinach.

Kumbaga sasabihin ko sa kanya, kapag kinain niya ‘yung gulay, may makukuha siyang candy or anything from me. Eh ang bata madali namang lambingin yan eh.”

According to Marian, their daughter Zia is growing up quite the entertainer. She has no problem if her daughter decides to pursue a career in showbiz later but she needs to finish her school first.

As early as now, Marian is confident Zia will grow up strong like her.

“’Yung mga bashers if ever, I know kaya ng anak ko yan! Basta ang alam ko, growing up dahil nakikita ‘yung pagmamahalan naming mag-asawa, yan ‘yung magiging pundasyon niya para maging mabuting tao.”
