Malacañang is wishing Senator Leila de Lima well after undergoing a recent medical checkup.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said they would not wish anyone ill and hopes the senator would have a “long life.”
“We wish her well because this is now a health issue,” Roque said during a Palace press briefing.
“I don’t think the President wishes anyone ill as far as health issues are concerned. As I said, we want her to enjoy a long life wherever but we want her to have a long life,” he added.
The court recently granted De Lima a one-day medical furlough so she could undergo further exams on a suspected mass found on her liver. De Lima, detained for drug-related charges, recently claimed there was nothing to worry after undergoing a CT scan of the liver at a hospital.
Asked if the Palace was amenable to a hospital arrest of De Lima in case she makes such petition, Roque said the matter would be decided by the court, not the Palace.
“We cannot support, we cannot oppose, it’s the Court that determines,” he said.
