Tarlac City, Tarlac — The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has sued a big resort hotel based in Lourdes, Bamban, Tarlac and its corporate owner for alleged unlawful pursuit of business and issuance of unregistered official receipts.

In a tax evasion complaint filed with the Tarlac Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, Central Luzon Revenue Regional Director Jethro M. Sabariaga identified the respondents as Goshen Resort Hotel and Marciano Francisco Paras, president of Kurdan Printhud Trading which operates the leisure establishment.

The criminal complaint stemmed from the tax mapping operations which reportedly showed that Kurdan did not register Goshen situated in sprawling land with Roman-inspired architecture with the Tarlac revenue district office in violation of Section 258 of the Tax Code, or unlawful pursuit of business.

It was also found that Goshen issued official receipts registered to another business enterprise, Jesus Our Victory Family Workshop Center in violation of Section 264 of the Tax Code.
