“Chief, it is time to let go. Please let the judiciary move on,”court employees said on. The appeal was made on the second “Red Monday” where court employees wore red as a sign of support for the ouster of Sereno.

“Let us not allow history to judge you as the first woman chief justice, and the youngest at that, to be removed from office,” the employees said as they urged Sereno to step down “for the sake every Filipino citizen.”

SC associate justices Noel Tijam, Samuel Martires, Francis Jardeleza, Mariano del Castillo, Lucas Bersamin, Diosdado Peralta, Teresita de Castro, Presbitero Velasco Jr, Acting Chief Justice Antonio Carpio, and former associate justice Adolf Azcuna were also present during the flag-raising ceremony.

The 1,200-strong Philippine Judges Association composed of Regional Trial Court judges is also expected to issue a manifesto calling for Sereno’s resignation.
