Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) unveiled the latest lineup of new Fuso Canter light duty trucks at the World Trade Center.  The new Canters have a refreshed look with upgraded bumpers, painted grille and the distinguished Fuso mark right on its front panel. It boasts of improved features including a more powerful and much cleaner Euro-4 compliant engine.

Known for its durability and cost efficiency, the Canter is offered in 4.4, 6.5 and 8.2-ton gross vehicle weight (GVW) model options. They are now equipped with engines made more robust with maximum outputs of 123-Hp for the FE71, 143-Hp for the FE84 and 177-Hp for the FE85.

With the Philippine government focused on transport modernization and infrastructure development, trucks are expected to play a central role in their plans. The new Canters are part of MMPC’s response to this call for inclusive growth.

Present were MMPC’s top executives,led by President and CEO,MutsuhiroOshikiri, and EVP for Marketing, Shigeru Ogura. Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks and Bus Corporation was represented by Tomohiro Suzuki, General Manager for Daimler Regional Center Commercial Vehicles Southeast Asia.

“Light duty trucks like the Canter stir economies at the grassroots, making sure goods are accessible to the people. Without these vehicles, our markets would be sad, empty spaces. That is why it gives us much honor to have this product in our line-up,” said Oshikiri, stressing on the importance of trucks in our local communities.

The new FUSO Canters start at P1,315,000 for the FE71, P1,481,000 for the FE84 and P1,580,000 for the FE85 cab and chassis base variants and are available in all Mitsubishi and FUSO dealerships nationwide.
