Eduardo “EJ” Coseteng engineered a perfect combination of speed and guile right up to the finish to ward off Raymund Cudala and Japanese Kaito Tsukada in that order twice and rule Races 1 and 2 of the 2018 Petron Blaze 100 X30 Challenge at Carmona Racetrack in Carmona, Cavite, recently.

Coseteng, son of former car racing champion Jody Coseteng and the reigning Asian Karting Open Formula 125 junior titleholder, topped the twin X30 Senior Petron Blaze 100 races to kick off his season to a rousing start.

Coseteng, Cudala and Tsukada towed John Dizon and Arvin Dreco in Race 1 and then Dizon and female karters Bianca Bustamante and Jenn Tumambing in Race 2.

Bustamante settled for the X30 Junior title, ahead of Jarred Kim, in both Races 1 and 2 with Anthony Baisa topping Race 2 of X30 Master class after placing second to Drueco in Race 1 of the series sponsored by Petron oil products.
