A mall in Divisoria, Manila is currently under lockdown following a shooting incident this afternoon.
Reports from the Manila Police District Station 11 (MPD PS-11) said the shooting transpired around 2 p.m. inside the second floor of 999 Mall located at Divisoria, Manila.
Upon hearing the gunshots, shoppers reportedly panicked and were temporarily forbidden to leave the premises.
Security officers from Dura Lex Security Agency closed down all doors within the mall as part of their security protocol. Customers and employees were gradually escorted out of the premises by 3 p.m.
One man, who remains unidentified as of this posting, was reportedly shot, resulting in his death. His companion, believed to be his wife, sustained gunshot wounds and was immediately brought to a hospital.
Police authorities from MPD and Scene of the Crime Operatives are currently searching for the suspect inside 999 Mall, which remains to be under lockdown.
